DOD ISSUES GUIDANCE ON NEW SUITABILITY REINVESTIGATION REQUIREMENT

The Office of Personnel Management in November published a final regulation implementing a provision of Executive Order 13488, which requires all agencies to conduct reinvestigations every five years of positions designated at the Moderate or High Risk levels. The final rule became effective Dec. 9, 2011.

Below are two documents related to the new reinvestigation requirement. The first is a Department of Defense memorandum discussing the new requirement. The second is a reference guide regarding the suitability reinvestigations.
